What is Cashee?

Cashee is a banking and financial education platform for kids and teens in the Middle East.

Cashee provides youth aged 6 to 18 in Saudi Arabia with a free prepaid Visa card and mobile app, powered by arab national bank (anb).

Cashee aims to educate and empower the youth on how to manage money better while giving their parents/guardians the ability to maintain oversight and control.

How do I set up my Cashee account?

To set up your Cashee account, all users between 6 and 18 years old must first ask their parent to sign up.

To sign up, your parent will be required to enter their KSA registered mobile number and National Identification number.

If a parent is not an arab national bank (anb) account holder, they will be redirected to anb’s mobile banking app to create an account first, which will then be connected to their Cashee app. If they are an anb account holder already, their anb account will immediately connect to their Cashee app.

After a parent has successfully created their Cashee account, they can then create Cashee accounts for up to 5 children.

Once your parent has created your account, you can then download the app and sign in to access your account.

What information do I need to provide?

Creating a Cashee account is quick and easy with no paperwork or visits to the bank involved!

How many children can a parent add to their Cashee account?

Parents can add up to five children, linked to their Cashee account.

Do I need to be a Saudi national to join Cashee?

You need to have a KSA National ID number to sign up for Cashee. Currently we are unable to accept users who are Saudi residents but do not have a KSA National ID.

How do I close my Cashee account?

You can close or cancel your Cashee account at any time. To do so, please contact the Cashee Customer Service team at [email protected]

Are there any fees or charges involved with my Cashee account or card?

All the fees and charges linked to your Cashee account and card are listed below. There are no hidden fees or charges at any point.

How do I set my card PIN?

When your parent activates your Cashee card, they will be prompted to create a card PIN. This PIN number can be changed by you in your app later, if you wish to do so.

What happens if my Cashee card is lost or stolen?

In the unfortunate event that your card is lost or stolen, you have two options:

Freeze your card: You can freeze your card instantly in the Cashee app by tapping on the card image on the Home screen and then selecting Freeze.
If you find your card, you can click Unfreeze.
A parent/guardian can also freeze the card by first selecting the child whose card needs to be frozen. They can then tap the card icon and select Freeze.

Block your card: Only a parent can Block and Replace a card. They can select the child whose card they wish to cancel. They can click the card icon and then select the Block and Replace icon. A replacement card request is automatically created and a one-off cost of SAR 60+ VAT will be debited from the Parent account. Please ensure there are sufficient funds in the parent account before canceling the child’s card.

Can I use my Cashee card to withdraw funds from an ATM?

Currently we do not provide the facility to withdraw funds from an ATM.

Can I use my Cashee card overseas?

Yes, you can use your Cashee card across the world, wherever Visa is accepted.

Do I need to pay for my Cashee card?

The first Cashee card is free. A replacement card will be charged SAR 60 + VAT and will be deducted from the parent account.

How are my funds in the Cashee account protected?

All users' funds are held in an individual bank account set up for them in arab national bank (anb). Like other anb bank accounts, these funds are fully protected.

What does it mean that Cashee is PCI DSS compliant?

PCI DSS stands for Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard and is an independent standard governing the use of payment card information. The purpose is to create a better control of cardholder data and reduce fraud.

Cashee is audited constantly throughout the year to ensure its processes and systems meet this high standard of protection.

What is the Referral program?

Cashee’s Referral Program is an exciting way for kids and teens to refer their friends to join Cashee, so that both can earn rewards.

How does the Referral program work?

In Cashee’s Referral program any qualified user between 6-18yrs in Saudi Arabia can share their unique code with their friends. When their friends join Cashee using this code, both earn rewards. Here are the specific steps that need to be followed to earn rewards:

For new users, a parent needs to download Cashee and create their Parent account and their Child’s account.
Once the Child account is created, the child needs to sign into their account and use the Referral code within 14 days of account creation.
Once the parent receives the child’s card, they need to activate the card in the app.
Once these steps are completed successfully, the referral reward will be sent to the parent’s anb account. The parent can then transfer the reward to their children from the app.
The child is able to track successful referees in their own app.

When will I need to use my card’s PIN code for in-store transactions?

Your card’s first in-store transaction will require the use of the card’s PIN code. Please make sure to get the code from your father and to enter the right code. For all subsequent transactions you can use ‘tap and pay’ as long as the transaction is below the spend limit.

I entered my PIN incorrectly more than three times and my card is blocked. What can I do?

When you enter your PIN incorrectly more than three times, the card is temporarily blocked for your security. To unblock it, simply call or email customer service and they’ll help you unblock your card.

How do I close my Cashee account?

Please note that only parents can close Cashee accounts. To close your and your child’s Cashee accounts please call Cashee’s phone banking number on 800 1111 767 to lodge your request. The team will close the Cashee cards and all accounts associated with the parent account.

What is the Zood Al Ajyal program?

Zood Al Ajyal is one of the savings programs offered by the Social Development Bank in Saudi Arabia. The age-appropriate program is designed to enhance concepts around saving money, managing daily expenses, and raising levels of financial literacy. The program offers a package of financial incentives, as well as awareness and educational material.

Who is eligible to subscribe to the Zood Al Ajyal program?

All Saudi children aged 6 to 18 years, based on the date of birth in their family card.

What is the subscription duration for the Zood Al Ajyal program?

The program lasts 3 years and is linked to the specified age group of the participants, 6-18 years.

How can I register for the Zood Al Ajyal program?

As a parent (currently only fathers) you need to log into the Cashee app and fill out your children's information.
You can then sign them up for the program when the registration page for Zood Al Ajyal appears.
You need to visit the Social Development Bank website to confirm the subscription request for your children: https://len.sdb.gov.sa/Guest/Login.aspx
The Cashee app should be downloaded on the children's smart devices from the app store of each provider to start their saving journeys.

If I already have an account in Cashee, how can I register for the Zood Al Ajyal program?

If the children already have an account in the Cashee app, the registered parent should log into the Cashee app, click on the learning icon in the bottom menu of the app, and the registration option for the Zood Al Ajyal program will appear.

Can children request to subscribe to Zood Al Ajyal?

The subscription request must be made by a parent through the Cashee app.

What are the benefits of subscribing to Zood Al Ajyal?

Providing educational content suitable for 6-18 year olds.
Encouraging saving behavior for users, with monthly incentives of up to 15 SAR, and monthly and quarterly prizes of up to 300 SAR.

How can children earn the monthly incentive from the Social Development Bank?

By logging into the Cashee app and transferring an amount of at least 10 SAR from the "spending" account to the "savings" account. The incentives are then calculated by comparing the last day of the current month to the last day of the previous month.

How can children earn monthly and quarterly prizes from the Social Development Bank?

Monthly cash prizes of 100 SAR and a quarterly prize of 300 SAR will be offered through a lucky draw. To qualify for the prize draws, the child needs to:

Save money in their saving account every month (minimum SAR 10)
Watch the educational content related to the programs
Correctly answer quiz questions offered after the content is viewed
Create a saving goal successfully
Achieve the approved saving goal.

When are the monthly incentives and prizes deposited?

The incentives are deposited by the Social Development Bank at the beginning of each Gregorian month for those who qualify, based on the mechanism for earning monthly incentives and monthly and quarterly prizes. The incentives will be deposited into the user’s "savings account."

Can I register for Zood Al Ajyal more than once?

You are entitled to subscribe to the Zood Al Ajyal program only once.
